As we sit in our living rooms and consider the various political controversies that are conjured up by the mass media hysteria to keep us in suspense, people are dropping like flies in Africa from starvation, HIV and AIDS. The challenge of fighting this disease is ominous and seemingly impossible. And yet there are groups on the ground floor who are beating the odds out there in villages and communities.
